Ben Goldberg was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ, attended San Francisco State University for cinema and after graduation in 2010, moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career as a Director of Photography.
After working in various crew positions, Ben decided to put his focus on the lighting department to gain the knowledge necessary to be a successful cinematographer. He has now worked as a Chief Lighting Technician and Assistant Chief Lighting Technician for the past 14 years and has joined IATSE 728 as an accomplished lighting professional.
Armed with his vast lighting knowledge, Ben has set his sights on his original goal and is currently focused primarily on shooting narrative and documentary films in the role of Director of Photography.
